If you want to find out more about how you can find out who is housed here or how you can contact an inmate, please keep reading. Our database has all of the information that you will need to know.
Arrest and Booking Information
When someone is arrested and brought to the Cache County Jail by law enforcement, a record of it is made online. You can easily access this information if you want to conduct an inmate search.
Keep in mind that if they were very recently arrested or transferred to the prison by staff, it might take a few days for this information to appear online. These records are technically unofficial, so you might not be able to use them in a courtroom setting.
How to Receive Inmate Calls
If you want to talk with an inmate over the phone, they will need to be the one to call you. The facility recently added a message service where they can receive a voice mail from you for a small fee.
All inmate calls are either going to be collect or prepaid using purchased phone time cards. When an inmate uses a collect call, you will be responsible for paying the phone bill. However, the inmate pays when they use a prepaid phone card.
You can also set up a Securus account, which will be charged instead. This method should be used if your cell phone can not accept collect calls.
If you do not want to receive calls from an inmate, you can also block their number through Securus. Or, you can contact the Cache County Jail and have a staff member block the phone number.
Overall, many inmates enjoy talking to friends and family. If you can stay in touch this way, we recommend that you do it.
Inmate Mail Policies
If you would like to send an inmate mail to the Cache County Jail, you can. You will need to make sure that it is no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches- which is the size of a standard sheet of printer paper. You can also send them an e-message.
All outgoing mail from inmates will be either a postcard or an e-message. If you send any unauthorized items through the mail, they will be returned to you. Plus, you will need to have your full name and return address on the right side of the envelope.
The inmate’s full name and ID number should be above the Cache County Jail’s mailing address. Not having that additional information might mean that the letter is returned to you. You can address the envelope using the following format:
Cache County Jail
Inmate’s Full Name
1225 W. 200 N., Suite 100
Logan, UT 84321
Please do not add glitter, lipstick, perfume, or any inappropriate content to your mail. Whiteout, glitter pens, crayons, markers, and staples are also banned. Having these items in your letter will cause the mail to be returned to you or destroyed by a staff member.
You can also mail pictures to the inmate, although you cannot include more than 5 in one envelope. You will need to have the inmate’s name and ID number on the back of each photograph for them to be accepted.
Paperback books can also be sent to inmates. If you would like to do so, the book will need to be sent directly by a reputable source. You can send them on your own. After the prisoner is released, the books are added to the Cache County Jail’s library for any of the inmates to read.
Finally, the Cache County Jail does not send or forward mail. When the inmate is released, all mail will be returned to the sender by a staff member.
If there is anything else you would like to know or have some questions, you should directly call the Cache County Jail. The staff there will be able to assist you in more detail.
