When You Can Visit an Inmate

Inmates that are being processed by the facility’s system can not be visited yet. You will likely need to wait at least a week before you can visit someone here for the first time.

Visitation is also different depending on whether the inmate is in the minimum or medium-security facility.

For the minimum security, the visitation schedule looks like the following:

Mondays and Fridays from 7 pm-9:30 pm. Saturdays from 1:30 pm-4 pm, 7 pm-9:30 pm.

Sundays 8 am-10:30 am, 1:30 pm-4 pm, and 7 pm-9:30 pm.

And finally, any state-recognized holidays from 1 pm-4 pm and 7 pm-9:30 pm.

You can visit medium-security inmates on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:30 pm-4 pm and 6 pm-9 pm.

Sending Mail to the Facility

Before sending any mail to the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, you will want to call the staff there. They will be able to provide you with more information on what you can and can not send through the mail. Overall, you want to make sure you are not accidentally sending contraband.

Before you send them your first letter, you will want to contact the facility to receive the inmate’s ID number. This number is used in a lot of different processes by the jail, so you will need to write it down somewhere safe.

This number will also need to be included on the top of the envelope. It should go right after the inmate’s full name, above the address for the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.

How to Search an Inmate

Knowing which building the offender is located in is also useful when sending money or mail. You can get this information online through the Oregon Department of Corrections website.

They say that their information is updated periodically, so it might not be the most recent. You can either check back on the page as often as you like or call the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility for more detailed information when you need it.

Adding Money to a Commissary Account

Commissary is a service that often delivers goods to inmates. They will need to have access to some funds to make any purchases. The Coffee Creek Correctional Facility runs its payment processes through JPay, which means you can conveniently deposit money online.

If you would instead want to call, JPay can accept credit or debit cards over the phone.

Overall, most inmates want to have access to commissary funds. Inmates can use them to pay for phone calls, medical services, fees, among numerous goods. If you are unsure of what to do, please contact the facility or JPay directly.

How an Inmate Can Call You

Offenders have access to phones inside the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. They can use either a prepaid phone service, a collect call, or contact you through one of JPay’s services. You can send an inmate money to make calls as well. They will be able to reach out during certain times, depending on where they are housed.

Inmates are not able to receive calls from you. However, this facility does allow you to leave them a message that is under three minutes long. It costs $1.25 to do so. Plus, keep in mind that actual phone calls can only be thirty minutes long.

Calls are monitored and recorded. If you say or do anything inappropriate or deemed dangerous, you will lose the ability to receive calls from the inmate. Three-way calls are not allowed either and will cause the conversation to be ended early by present staff.
