How to Search for an Inmate at Federal Correctional Complex Butner

Federal facilities have their inmate database in one place, the federal bureau of prison website. To get information about the inmate, you will need to know who the inmate you are searching for is, including their names, ID, race, age, or even their nicknames. The more information you have about the inmate you are searching for, the easier it will be to locate them.

You may not have access to the internet. This does not mean you cannot get access to an inmate. If you have an idea as to which security facility they are being held in, you can proceed to call the facility. You will get in contact with a prison officer who will be happy to help. They may ask you for some information to aid in searching for the inmate.

You may also be around the same location as the security facility or have the opportunity of visiting it. It is a great chance to ask prison personnel to search for the inmate you are interested in.

How Do You Send Inmates Any Mail or Package

Inmates at the Butner Federal Correctional Institution have the liberty to send and receive mail from friends, loved ones, and even pen pals. Before sending any packages over to the facility, the best advice will be to call the facility personnel and inquire about their expectations if you send any mail over. The facility has a list of things that can be sent to the facility, failure to which the package will not reach the inmate.

Before sending anything to the facility, ensure you have the address on the mail or package right and ensure you add the inmate’s name at the back.
