South Mississippi Correctional Institution is a male all-securities facility in Leakesville, Mississippi. The facility holds about 3082 adult inmates across all security classifications, minimum, medium, close, and protective custody.  There are about 17 housing units sitting on a 360 acres stretch of land, and a boot camp program knows as the Regimental Inmate Discipline program (RID). This program seeks to instill discipline, self-esteem, and respect on inmates.

The facility provides free labor to Greene County and other neighboring municipalities.  Most inmates work at the Greene County Road Crew and mobile work crew. There is also a neighboring extensive blueberry orchard where inmates also offer labor. The orchard was started in 2006.

  • They have to be obtained directly from a reputable vendor or publisher.
  • Third-party sellers are not allowed.
