Within the state-run government in Kansas, the corrections department is called the Department of Corrections. It’s a pretty straightforward name. This Department of Corrections handles a considerable task. They take on everyone that was sentenced to prison, parole, and probation. This can be thousand upon thousand of people daily.
Just like any other colossal department, this Department has a lot of checks and balances. The Department of Corrections is always checking to ensure that every office is running up to its standards. The Kansas Department of Corrections has a high standard that every facility and office has to meet.
The main objective for the Department of Corrections is to rehabilitate everyone that walks through their doors. Simple as that. But, it is not as simple as it may seem; the Department of Corrections offers these offenders a variety of programs to help change their ways of thinking, so they can eventually be sent back out into society.
With the fast-growing population of inmates, the Kansas Department of Corrections sends out several offenders to Arizona. They do this because their facilities tend to get overcrowded, and this solves that problem.
