The Iowa Department of Corrections is the agency you will need to speak to if you have someone incarcerated in a state-operated facility. The Iowa Department of Corrections does not only work on the state-operated facilities, but they also work with the parole and probation buildings as well.
The Iowa Department of Corrections regularly checks up on every facility they are in charge of. They do this so they can ensure that each office is running as smoothly and efficiently. The Department always wants to improve and secure their standards are being met as they are supposed to.
This monitoring of their offices and facilities is what they call the proof-based method. This method allows them to address any issue that may arise before it gets too big. This helps not only their staff members but their offenders as well. This helps keeps their re-offender stat as low as possible because these offenders are getting the best treatment possible.
There typically is little to no issue within the Department of Corrections because the Department is so hands-on. Everyone who works for the Iowa Department of Corrections works together to achieve these same goals that the Department has set forth.
