Federal Correctional Facility, Dublin is a low-security prison for female inmates. It is located in Dublin, California. Adjacent to the facility is a satellite prison camp that houses minimum-security female inmates. FCI Dublin opened its doors to offenders in 1974.

The facility houses inmates in both dormitories and two-person cells. Inmates get health services including periodic health examinations, dental care, health education programs, medications, specialty care, specific health examinations (e.g. cancer screening), and routine care.

Additionally, the inmates will get pregnancy tests, pelvic examinations, pap smears, and breast examinations at routine intervals and during intake.

How to Search for an Inmate

Companions, family, and friends can search for inmates by visiting the online detainee database of the Federal Agency of Penitentiaries. Alternatively, you can log in to the FCI Dublin website and search for the inmate by typing in their names.

You can also visit the facility in person and enquire if your loved one is in there.

Are Packages and Letters Allowed At the Facility?

It is possible to send a package to an inmate though you will need authorization from the wardens. The mail should not contain sexual content, paper clips, staples, stickers, glitters, or drawings. No mail will be allowed into the facility without being scanned by the officers.

Dublin prison allows for both general correspondence and special mail. Special mail will only be opened in the presence of the inmate. The facility allows inmates to get commercial publications from the community. As long as an inmate has subscribed to get publications, they will receive one without prior approval as long as it does not affect the security of the prison.

You should ensure you address the mail to the correct person. FCI Dublin does not take any responsibility for any lost mail.

How Can You Fund Your Loved One At The Facility?

You can get money to your loved one in jail through several. You can use MoneyGram as it is one of the fastest ways to get money to an inmate. Additionally, you can send money via Western Union and the United States postal services.

However, for each of these options, you need the inmate’s identification number, date of birth, and full name. The prison receives and processes money seven days a week and this will include even the holidays.

You can also bring the money in person, leave it at the lobby, and add it to the inmate’s account. Moreover, you can deliver a credited check or money order and leave it with the lobby staff.

Keeping In Touch With The Outside World

Each housing unit in the jail has collect phones. Inmates are allowed to use the phones from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. However, the right to use a phone may be suspended if an inmate is found misusing the phone. Three-way calling is prohibited to make sure the inmate does not use the phone for criminal or any other inappropriate purposes.

In most cases, the inmates pay for the calls but in some cases, the receiving party may pay. Most of the calls are monitored for security purposes.

An inmate cannot receive a text message or call. If there is an emergency and you have to contact an inmate, you have to call the jail and speak with the Watch Commander.
